Parashar Gaur, is a Garhwali language filmmaker, poet, and artist. Born in the then UP hills (now Uttarakhand) on the eve of Indian Independence, Gaur moved to Delhi at a young age, where he became part of the theatre scene before launching the first ever Garhwali language film, Jagwal (The Long Wait) in 1983. He now resides in Toronto, Canada with his family.
